FAQ Categories
Account & Billing
Q: How do I update my payment method for a Pro Developer subscription?
A: Navigate to Dashboard → Settings → Billing. Click "Update Payment Info" and enter your new card or PayPal details. Changes apply immediately to your next invoice cycle.
Q: Why was my bot listing temporarily suspended?
A: Listings are suspended if they violate our Community Guidelines, such as containing malicious code, excessive self-promotion, or unverified OAuth2 scopes. Review your email from support@botforge.io and resubmit after corrections.
Bot Verification & Moderation
Q: What are the requirements for the "Verified" badge?
A: Bots must have a minimum of 1,500 active servers, a functioning privacy policy, stable uptime (99.8%+ over 30 days), and pass our manual security review. Apply via the Developer Portal under "Verification Request".
Q: How long does the verification review take?
A: Standard reviews take 3–5 business days. Priority reviews for enterprise partners take 24–48 hours. You will receive a status update via Discord DM and email once completed.
Advertising & Promotion
Q: How do the Spotlight and Banner ad tiers work?
A: Spotlight ads appear on the bot’s detail page and cost $49/week. Banner ads rotate across the homepage and category pages at $129/week. Both tiers require pre-approved creatives matching our 800x250px format guidelines.
Q: Can I target ads to specific bot categories?
A: Yes. When purchasing an ad campaign in the Marketing Hub, select your target verticals (e.g., Moderation, Music, Utility, Leveling). Targeted ads carry a 15% premium and require a minimum 2-week commit.
Developer API & Integrations
Q: What are the current API rate limits?
A: Free tier: 60 requests/minute. Pro tier: 500 requests/minute. Enterprise: Custom limits up to 5,000 requests/minute. Rate limit headers (`X-RateLimit-Remaining`) are included in all API responses.
Q: How do I sync my bot’s server count with BotForge?
A: Use the `/api/v2/bots/{client_id}/stats` endpoint with your read-only API key. Push updates every 15 minutes. Real-time sync requires the WebSocket extension available on Pro plans.
